Position: Global Head of SME and Creator Economy Business Development

A fast-growing Fintech company, Dollarsmart Global (DSGPay), is focused on disrupting and delivering innovative solutions within the Asian payment markets. DSGPay services a broad range of Asian, European and USA SME clients, allowing them to seamlessly grow their business into Asia and Oceania.

Huge growth plans are in place, and DSGPay requires an experienced Business Development Manager to join its young team and align the SME and Creator Economy Business Development Activities to the company’s strategic growth plans.

DSGPay has a global banking network, unique online products and a great brand with the right technology. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right Business Development professional to drive DSGPay’s Strategy to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the multi-country ASEAN business and team from the ground up. Achieve more than USD 10m rev target within 5 years.
  • Develop and execute the company’s business development strategies for SME and Creator Economy sectors.
  • Identify and execute on new business opportunities, build partnerships with government and business sectors, and DSGPay Branding in these space
  • Develop a deep client pipeline and manage existing client relationships. Manage client relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT, Operations, customer service, risk and compliance, etc… to ensure smooth implementation of business development plans.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the payments industry and regulatory environment.
  • Lead and motivate a team of business development professionals to achieve sales targets and performance goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimal, in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or sales in the payments industry, with a proven track record of success in the SME and Creator Economy sectors in ASEAN/Asia. 
  • Proven revenue track record. Managed a yearly revenue portfolio greater than USD10mio
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and ability to understand market trends and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in building, managing a team of business development professionals and driving sales performance.
  • Proven experience dealing with cross cultural customers and teams. Seamlessly develop deep business relationships with SME’s across DSGPay’s key markets.
  • Can do, self driven attitude. Able to break down barriers and move business plans forward.
  • Fluent in English and preferably another Asian language.
